The Leads Intellectual Initiative
The Leads Intellectual Initiative (TLII) is an innovative, leadership and intelligence development initiative. It is an initiative by Fatai Kareem, which aims at building children, teenagers and youths who are intelligent.
It is an initiative that creates a platform for children, teenagers and youths to develop Financial Intelligence, Emotional Intelligence, Adversity Intelligence, Social Intelligence, Cultural Intelligence, Decency Intelligence, Ethical Intelligence, Digital intelligence and Business Intelligence.
The need for this initiative is due to problems facing people during their adulthood as a result of lacking some forms of intelligence. These problems could have been eradicated if they had developed those intelligence during their childhood, teens or youthful life. These problems do not only affect their personal, career and marital life, but also the world at large.
According to Cybersecurity Ventures, cybercrime will cost the world $6 trillion annually by 2021, up from $3 trillion in 2015.
The World Economic Forum estimates the global cost of corruption to be at least $2.6 trillion, or 5 per cent of the global gross domestic product (GDP). Likewise, the World Bank states that businesses and individuals pay more than $1 trillion in bribes every year.
According to the US State Department, between 600,000 and 800,000 people are trafficked across international borders every year and 80 percent of those are women.
According to World Bank, in 2015, 10 percent of the world’s population or 734 million people lived on less than $1.90 a day. And new research estimates that by 2030 up to two-thirds of the global extreme poor may be living in fragile and conflict-affected economies, hence the need for intensified actions towards poverty.
According to the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, the study conducted in 2017 estimates that 792 million people lived with a mental health disorder, which is slightly more than one in ten people globally (10.7%).
All these problems impose negative impact on the world. Thus, this initiative sees the world to be better and the future to be brighter when every child, teenager and youth are intelligent.
The Leads! Intelligence leads!
